When preparing for a project it is important to understand the impact the project has. When looking at a project that involves community and nature, we need to judge the environmental impact that the project has which is why we turn to a CEQA report. A CEQA report consists of three main reports which is an Environmental Impact Report (EIR), Negative Declaration and Mitigated Negative Declaration. These reports share the purpose of judging the environmental impact that the proposed project has. Depending on the severity of the impact and ability to mitigate it or not is how we choose which CEQA report type would be most appropriate.
